Sarah's artistic journey began in childhood, evolving from her early days as an illustrator to dedicating the last eight years to fine art painting. Her work is profoundly inspired by "mountain life," a constant muse since 2018, shaping the themes and spirit of her creations.

Her passion truly comes alive with oil paints, her favorite medium. Sarah loves the dynamic process of painting wet on wet, appreciating how the colors blend and "everything gets really messy" – a testament to the organic energy in her art. Having her studio in Gunnison Country is particularly special for Sarah; she finds it "such a beautiful and inspiring place to live" and deeply values the area's "very creative and supportive" community.

Bren Corn

Bren's artistic journey began at a young age, fueled by early encouragement and a deep love for the craft. "I was told at a young age that I was good at it, pursued it, and love it!" she shares, having known she wanted to be an artist (along with a veterinarian!) since she was five years old. Her primary inspiration stems from her children and her environment, shaping the unique narratives within her work.

When it comes to her process, Bren's favorite medium is acrylic. "It dries almost instantly; therefore, I have to be confident with it," she explains, highlighting the bold energy in her approach. Having her studio in Gunnison Country is cherished by Bren. "The air is clean, the community is small, and this is where I moved to start a family in the early 90s," she reflects, showing her deep connection to the area.

During the tour, visitors to Bren's studio can look forward to seeing her "rearranging the town to make it my own" through her current work, or perhaps a vibrant wildflower piece – a decision still in the making! What excites her most about opening her studio doors to the public is letting people know her new location: she's no longer on Main Street but now by the Dos Rios Golf Course. This tour is a perfect chance to visit her in her new creative space!
